Advertise it Review12 Congratulations! Your free forum review has been completed. The forum review will hold many tips, suggestions, comments, and feedback that's convenient and voluntary for your forum. Here is your forum review:

  1. First Impressions (Score: 9/20):
When I first looked at your forum, I liked the layout. However when I hoovered header with my mouse pointer on your Forumotion domain (http://advertiseit.forumotion.com), I saw "Share" popping up above the header. I am surprised why it won't pop up on the domain (http://www.advertiseiforums.com). There also is a code, so links become unclickable, and I can't scroll down unless I use the thing on the right of my browser (that scroller or whatever).
Also, homepage message's title is "Text adds", and as homepage message you have news and RoZZex targeted ads thing.
    I like the portal.
  2. Categories & Forums (Score: 6/10):
You have a quite nice collection of forums. I just don't like forum-in-category, that means only one forum is in a category. You have it on the first category, Advertise It Board.
I would also suggest you to break line in some descriptions. Now they're saying Post anything thats happining with your forum here 10 posts needed : you could at least add a dot.
You could also mind grammar in names and descriptions for forums. There are a few examples, an example in Get A Member. Description is saying get a member on your forum. You should use capitals, and add a dot. Same is with "request" forum - no capitals. And I don't understand why you have "Contests!" and not "Contests". Remove the exclamation mark Wink

  1. Major Graphics (Score: 7/10):
    Banner
I like the banner, but that "Advertise It Made By Martin" looks extremely annoying. If you really want it to be there, then at least make it smaller. It looks like you want to have every credit for the forum. Like you'd be the one who did everything. This could be improved. I don't really understand why you want a contest to replace the header. It looks just fine, matching the theme. 2/5
    Navigation Bar
I really like the navigation bar. It's made by a graphics designer on your forum, that is good, so your forum looks organised; like your graphics designers would help you out with graphics. Icons match well, I just don't understand what does the circle have to do with Portal. 5/5
  2. Forum Layout & Color Scheme (Score: 9/10):
Well, I believe forums should have wether white-ish layout or greyish layout, those colors are the most neutral. I like your forum being mostly whiteish.Your forum also uses blue, and that is good - blue and white match.
  3. Images & Icons (Score: 2/10):
Well, your forum icons are too basic. You are having one of default PhpBB icons. I don't think such a popular forum should use so plain icons. Topic icons: I think you should replace the Forumotion support forum icons immediately. On the support forum I read somewhere about a forum getting closed just because of those icons! I think you should replace them.
You don't have who is online image, so I can't rate it.

  1. Population of Groups (Score: 8/10):
You have quite many usergroups (9). Good result. I just don't really love you taking my group names, but we have a deal, so that won't affect the review. However, some groups' names are singular, some are plural. Example: Global Moderator, Reviewer.
  2. Staff Groups / User Groups (Score: 4/10):
To get more members buying VIP, I am sure you should remove that "1000 posts" requirement in the shop. Graphics Designers: you have only one designer, which is good according to Graphics activity. You have just right number of Administrators I think, but you would need Global Moderators and Advertise Moderators. Packagers are too many I think, because you don't get much packages requests, do you? Reviewers are fine, but one Reviewer (Lark) is very inactive, and I don't think he shall stay staff member.
Also, poor CJCorka and Brisset. Can they focus on their work? CJCorka has three jobs: Global Moderator, Packager and Reviewer. Brisset as well, but he is not Global but Advertise moderator.

109 members, good result. According to your forum being there for three months, it's a good result. That would make average posts per member 45.8. Nice, but some have over 300, while others have less than ten...

12 members connected during the last 24 hours is a quite bad result. And also, let's check their status. 5 non-staff members is a quite normal result. On advertising forums, this is what we should expect - not very many members active, unless the forum is extremely attractive.
